KTM RC 200: KTM RC 200 is a fully faired sports bike. It is available at a price of ₹2,01,000 ex-showroom in India. It comes with 199.5cc BS VI engine which produces power of 24.6 bhp@10000 and torque of 19.2 Nm@8000rpm, it is a single cylinder 4 valve liquid cooled fuel injected engine. This bike comes with dual channel ABS and the kerb weight of this machine is 160 kg and the fuel tank capacity of this bike is 9.5L which gives mileage of 20-25 kmpl. It has fully digital meter console and sharp body frame which makes it more attractive and its aggressive sitting posture and loud exhaust note makes it sportier.

Downsides:

·       A lot pricier than its rivals.

·       Uncomfortable pillion seat.

·       Low fuel economy.

 

I personally would never recommend this bike to anyone until he/she is KTM fan and you can pay ₹15000- ₹20000 extra money to buy the bike of 200cc. It is quite expensive machine or we can say overpriced and the pillion seat is not so comfortable in KTM RC 200 which is another downside of this bike. There are many options available in Indian Market which is cheaper than KTM RC200. So if you don’t have enough money to buy KTM RC200 and you want 200cc bike you still have options available like Bajaj Pulsar RS200.  

                                                            

             BAJAJ PULSAR RS200                            

BAJAJ Pulsar RS 200: BAJAJ RS 200 is another fully faired sports bike. It is available at price of ₹1,52,000 ex-showroom in India. It comes with 199.5cc BS VI DTS-i engine which produces power of 24.5 bhp @9750 rpm and torque of 18.7Nm @8000 rpm, it is a single cylinder 4 valve liquid cooled fuel injected triple spark engine. This bike comes with dual channel ABS and the kerb weight of this bike is 165kg and the fuel tank capacity of this bike is 13L which gives mileage of 30-35kmpl. It has semi-digital meter console which look really nice, some people don’t like it but I personally love its semi-digital meter, the only thing which is missing in RS 200’s meter is gear position indicator but it’s not a big issue. The best thing of this bike is its clip on handle bars which makes it easy to ride bike and rider get normal seating posture rather than aggressive which makes it more comfortable than other sports bikes; it is more comfortable for pillion than KTM RC200. The sharp and edgy body frame makes it sportier and its exhaust note is not as loud as KTM RC 200’s but it sounds nice too. Only thing BAJAJ should improve is the fit and finish in its bikes.

 

Downsides:

·       Fit and finish is not so good.

·       Vibration issues.

·       No gear position indicator

 

This is worth buying bike and a good option in 200cc motorcycle. It has almost same specifications as KTM RC 200 and it is almost 50K cheaper than KTM RC 200. So if you want to buy a budget friendly 200cc fully faired sports bike you can go for Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. 

Conclusion: 

If you are KTM fan and you can pay extra money for little more features and KTM owner tag you can go for KTM RC200. 

And if you want similar performance as RC 200 and want a comfortable riding posture and better pillion seat comfort under 1.8lakh INR go for BAJAJ PULSAR RS200.
